NEMRA Lighting

A brighter place to connect

We built NEMRA’s Lighting Division a home of its own, with a dedicated website and member dashboard that connect lighting agents and manufacturers to the division’s work and each other.

The Prompt

More than a page

NEMRA’s Lighting Division supports lighting agents and manufacturers through advocacy, education, and networking. Its place on the parent association’s website was a single page, with limited room to share that work or help members get involved.

We designed and built a standalone site that gives the division room to grow. From the start, we also planned it as a foundation NEMRA could use for its other divisions, with a consistent design and practical tools for the teams managing them.

The Front End

Connected by design

We brought the brand into a system of 15 page templates and about 60 custom components. Shared settings for color, typography, icons, and spacing keep the experience consistent as members move through the site and staff add new content.

Events, news, education, and member spotlights each have a dedicated content type and layouts suited to the information they share. Every page feels part of the same site, with room for different kinds of stories and resources.

Brand Icon System

A familiar visual cue

A coordinated set of line icons gives programs, benefits, and resources a recognizable place in the design. Consistent strokes and the division’s blue and green connect those details across the site, helping members find familiar cues along the way.

The Footer

An invitation with motion

A slowly rotating dotted globe brings a little movement to the close of each page. Paired with an invitation to join, it reflects the division’s national network and gives visitors a clear next step.

The Back End

Built for the people running it

The site needs to work for the people behind the scenes as well as the members using it. We built a connected member experience and staff tools for managing content, accounts, and events. That editing foundation also supports the plan to extend the site to other NEMRA divisions.

  • A dashboard for both sides

Agents and manufacturers sign in to a connected member dashboard, with views shaped around what each group needs from the division.

  • Pages that stay connected

Staff manage every page through Elementor and the WordPress Theme Builder, using the templates and components we built. They can publish and update content within the established design system.

  • The right level of access

Staff can manage member accounts and set permissions for viewing and editing, from public content to tools reserved for members.

  • One login along the way

miniOrange OAuth single sign-on carries members from the public site into their dashboard with one login.

  • Keep the calendar moving

From the annual summit to webinars, staff can create, schedule, and promote events while helping members see what’s coming up.

  • Tools for ongoing care

Staff can manage cookie consent, an accessibility toolbar, search engine optimization, and generative engine optimization tools as part of the site’s everyday upkeep.
