Manufacturing Websites

Manufacturing websites, built and then kept current

Triptych designs, builds, hosts, and maintains websites for manufacturers across the Southeast on a monthly subscription that covers the build and everything that comes after it.

The situation

Why these sites go stale

Most manufacturers we talk to are running a site that got built once, several years back, by a firm that has since moved on or gone quiet. The IT vendor keeps the network and the email running and has no particular reason to open a CMS. Nobody on payroll has the website in their job description, so change requests queue up behind whoever still has the login, and the site sits at whatever year it was finished in while the shop floor gets modernized twice.

That pattern comes from how the website was purchased rather than from anyone's judgment, because a project has an end date and the maintenance that follows it has nowhere to live afterward. Filling that gap is what the subscription is for.

What the monthly covers

One monthly figure, no setup fee, and no change orders for anything inside the scope below.

  • Design and development of a new website, or a rebuild of the one you have
  • New managed hosting and a database, set up on our infrastructure and included in the monthly cost
  • SSL, security patches, backups, and uptime monitoring
  • Content and page updates whenever you need them, submitted through a shared request list and completed within one to two weeks
  • Same-day response on bugs and downtime
  • Monthly SEO work covering technical health, page structure, metadata, and the content that earns rankings
  • Monthly GEO work, which is how your company turns up when a buyer asks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, or Google's AI answers who makes what you make
  • A quarterly review of what changed, what it moved, and what comes next

Scope

What we build here, and where it stops

Websites

Capability and product pages, a spec or catalogue section, quote request flows, careers, news, and whatever else your buyers look for before they call. Built on a system your team can edit without calling us first.

Small platforms

Workflow tools sitting on top of the site. Quote request routing, part and spec lookup, a simple customer or dealer login, a form that writes into something you already use. These fit inside the subscription when the scope is small and defined.

Search and AI visibility

Monthly work on how buyers find you, in Google and in the assistants they now ask first. Technical health, page structure, content, and the entity and citation work that decides whether an AI names your company or somebody else's.

Larger platform work stays a separate engagement. Marketplaces, ERP and EDI integration, product configurators, and anything that needs its own data model start around $35,000 and get quoted on their own, which is what our platforms and scalable websites page covers. If a conversation that starts here turns into one of those, we will tell you early rather than stretch a subscription around work it was not built to hold.

Timeline

Three weeks, first conversation to launch

01

Week one

We talk, look at what you have now, and agree on the sitemap and what each page needs to say. You give us access to your domain registrar and to whatever the current site runs on, and we pull the content worth keeping.

02

Week two

Design and build. You review the real thing in a staging environment rather than a flat mockup, on your phone as well as your desktop, and you give notes.

03

Week three

Revisions, final content load, accessibility and performance checks, then the cutover to the new hosting.

Three weeks holds when you own your domain or can get us registrar access, and when somebody on your side can answer content questions within a day or two. Waiting on either one is the thing that stretches a schedule, so we tell you at the start exactly what we need from you and when we need it.

Pricing

What it costs, and why it costs that

$300 to $500 a month, depending on how large the site is and whether there is workflow tooling inside it. That figure covers the build, the hosting and database, the monthly updates, and the search work, with no setup fee.

The price is lower than this work cost three years ago because of where the hours go now. We use AI through the mechanical parts of a build, which means content migration, first layout passes against an approved design system, metadata and schema, alt text, and the repetitive front-end work that used to eat a week. A person still makes every decision that carries any risk, including what the site should say, how a buyer moves through it, what your products need to show before someone picks up the phone, and whether the result is good enough to carry our name. What changed is the number of hours sitting between the decision and the finished page, and we hand that back in the price, because a client who stays with us for years is worth more to us than a larger invoice once.

The agreement runs as a multi-year partnership. We walk you through how the term works, what happens at the end of it, and what you own, before anything gets signed.

Boundaries

What the subscription does not cover

Support here runs during business hours, with same-day response on anything broken or down. If your operation needs 24/7 on-call coverage against a guaranteed uptime SLA, or a monthly block of dedicated development hours worked against a priority list your team controls, those are our maintenance retainers and they are priced separately. Update requests inside the subscription get scheduled and completed within one to two weeks, which suits content and page changes well and is the wrong fit for a company that needs new features shipped every week.

Telling you that now costs us a few conversations and saves you from buying the wrong thing, which matters more when the relationship is meant to run for years.

The proof

Built for this sector

Triptych has been building interactive work in Chattanooga since 2007, a good deal of it through agencies for Microsoft, Google, The North Face, and Mastercard, alongside direct clients in manufacturing, credit unions, and the public sector. The same team does the work at every price point, which is the part worth knowing when the monthly figure is this low.

Questions, answered.

What does the monthly fee include?
Design and build of the site, hosting and the database, SSL and security patching, backups, uptime monitoring, content and page updates each month, and ongoing SEO and GEO work. There is no setup fee and no separate hosting invoice.
Do I own the website?
Yes. You own your domain, your content, and your data throughout, and the transition of the build itself is written into the agreement. We walk through exactly what transfers and when before you sign.
We already have hosting. Can we keep it?
Usually we move you, because the monthly includes hosting and a database on infrastructure we manage and monitor, which is what lets us promise same-day response when something breaks. If you are on something specific for a reason, tell us in the form and we will work out whether it can stay.
How fast do updates get made?
Send requests whenever they come up. Content and page changes are scheduled and completed within one to two weeks. Anything broken or down gets a response the same day.
Can you work alongside our IT vendor?
Yes, and it usually goes well, because most IT vendors would rather not own a website. We handle the site, the hosting, and the database. They keep the network, the email, and the endpoints. We will talk to them directly about DNS and email records so you are not relaying messages between two vendors.
What is GEO, and why should a manufacturer care?
Buyers increasingly start with an assistant rather than a search box, asking something like who makes a given part in the Southeast. The assistant answers by naming specific companies, and whether yours is among them depends on how your site is structured, how clearly it states what you make and where, and where else you are cited. That work is different from traditional SEO and it runs every month alongside it.
Is there a setup fee?
No. The build is inside the monthly.
What happens if we want something bigger, like a configurator or an ERP integration?
We quote it separately. Work at that level starts around $35,000 and needs its own discovery, timeline, and data model, which is what our platforms and scalable websites page covers. We will say so early rather than quietly stretch the subscription.
